President
Tom began his career in risk management as an intern and later joined J. Krug after graduating from the Katie School of Insurance at Illinois State University. He went on to earn his CIC designation and built expertise in managing risk for Real Estate firms, CPG companies, and Law Firms.
Now President of J. Krug, Tom leads the firm’s second generation and its three practice areas. He resides in Naperville with his wife, Lauren, and their two children, and enjoys golfing, traveling, and time with family and friends.
Vice President, Commercial Division
Jeff began his career with J. Krug in 2009 and steadily grew into a leadership role within the Commercial Lines division. He went on to earn his CIC and CRM designations, supporting his deep focus on risk management. As Managing Director of Commercial Lines and Practice Leader for our Alarm and Security Practice, Jeff helps shape strategy and deliver strong results for our clients. He enjoys running, golfing, and giving back through his involvement with Little City. Jeff lives in Wheaton with his wife, Holly, and their three children.
Vice President
Logan Simios joined J. Krug in 2004 and now serves as Managing Director of our Benefits and Financial Services division. With prior experience as a CPA and owner of a financial software consulting firm, Logan brings strong business insight and deep technical expertise to his role. He works closely with businesses and individuals to build financial stability through strategic benefits planning, insurance solutions, and retirement guidance. Logan lives in Palatine with his wife, Laura, and enjoys fitness, coaching basketball, and spending time with his family.
Director of Benefits
Colleen Tesnow joined J. Krug in 2015 and has built her career around delivering strong results for employers and their employees. She began as a Benefits Account Manager before moving into leadership, where she now serves as Managing Partner and Director of Benefits. Colleen oversees the Benefits service team, leads renewal strategy for in-force clients, and ensures every employer receives clear guidance and well-designed benefits solutions.
Outside the office, Colleen is a dedicated Chicago Bears fan, a dog lover, and enjoys spending her summers boating at Lake Carroll.
Director of Operations
Lisa Pahl joined J. Krug & Associates in 1995 as an accountant and quickly expanded her responsibilities within the agency. Over the years, she built expertise across Personal Lines, Employee Benefits, Human Resources, and Systems Management. Today, as Director of Operations, Lisa oversees accounting, HR, IT systems, and the coordination of agency-wide events.
Lisa lives in Algonquin with her husband, John, and enjoys interior decorating, golf, hosting gatherings, and spending time with her family. She is the proud mother of two adult children who are now out of college.
PArtner, Commercial Lines
Conor Walsh is a Partner at J. Krug, bringing nearly a decade of experience in the insurance industry. Joining the firm in 2017, Conor began as an Account Manager, developing a strong foundation in client service and risk management before transitioning into a full-time sales role. Since then, he has developed strong client relationships in the real estate, manufacturing, and construction industries. Conor holds the CIC designation and leverages his industry knowledge to bring the latest solutions available to his clients. Conor lives in Itasca with his wife, Kristen, and enjoys golf, skeet/trap shooting, hunting, and playing guitar.
